Obstacle

Obstacle emerged from the point of understanding state’s full capability to militarize, monitor and supply public space with violence only to in-prison the survived bodies of women in safe house as if they were the ones who committed crime.

The artist’s non protected body confronted the drone which was constantly scanning it from toes to head. If not still, the body would have been recognized as an obstacle (something that blocks a path or prevents progress) by the drone, and possibly injured.

The work is conceived as a three-channel video installation, presenting simultaneously the point of view (POV) of the drone, the POV of the audience, and the POV of the video feed itself.
